Gestalt is the idea of putting together similar objects or creating negative space to achieve a certain image. This can be through arranging objects in the shape of a square or creating lines through negative space for the eye to foll0w.This ink piece is a great example of Gestalt. The brain tends to create and find images in everything. The negative and positive space for the image of a dog sniffing around on the ground. While this is not actually a picture of a dog the brain seeks to make sense of the picture by looking for familiar shapes.
