Symmetry 2/9/10

The first image of the Taj Mahal is a great example of bilateral symmetry. The building appears that it could be cut in half vertically down the center creating to identical images. Not only is the building symmetric but the landscape around it as well.
The second image is an example of radial symmetry. The image involves patterns that are all equal distance from the center creating to identical images if they were to be cut down the center horizontally.
