Repetition of Form 2/25/10
This piece by Andy Warhol is an example of repetition of form. The coke bottle are not only in a grid pattern, but the constant shape of the bottle unifies the entire piece. It not only repeats in its shape but also the direction and orientation of the bottles is the same throughout. This allows the person looking at the piece to connect the entire piece together instead of focusing on just the darker or lighter bottles and forces the eye to start at the bottom where the coca cola label is and move up.
